Teressa’s family has deep roots in White County. Her grandparents settled in this area in the late 1920’s and her family continued to call Helen “Home” until the late 1950’s. Teressa spent her early years in the Northwest Georgia Mountains, but her childhood summers found her on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, on her grandparent’s farm near downtown Helen. Today she resides on a portion of that family farm with her husband Bill. Helen has been “Home” again since 1980. It was always her goal to raise her family in Helen and she says, “I got back to the mountains as soon as I could.” In 2002 her husband Bill partnered with her in the real estate business. They opened Fourth Mountain Real Estate in 2010. They enjoyed working together until Bill’s retirement from real estate in January 2022. After becoming a licensed Real Estate Agent in 1984, she seriously entered the real estate profession in 1998. Her previous work experiences include property management and development, GIS Mapping Coordinator for White County Planning Office, and several years as a Real Estate Acquisition Specialist for the Georgia Department of Transportation. She Graduated Suma Cum Laude from Piedmont College with a BA in Business Management and double minors in Biology and Computer Science. She has also been a State Registered Real Estate Appraiser. This combined experience and education built a firm foundation for her career as Real Estate Broker and Business Owner of Fourth Mountain Real Estate. Over the years, Teressa has proven that she is a capable businesswoman. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area, including local and state regulations affecting your real estate purchase. She stays on top of the local real estate market values and trends. Past customers and clients describe her as dependable and knowledgeable… the type of realtor you want on your team! Teressa strives to meet the needs of her clients and customers by helping each one find the perfect property. Teressa and Bill have two sons, one ‘daughter’ (in-law), one granddaughter, many cats, dogs, and horses.
